Fear…the little word that packs the greatest punch

The past week has been a week of serious temptation to one fearful for my hubby and me, we have both been tried with some of our biggest fears and I must say, fear is something that I seriously struggle with.

Its really amazing that something with only four letters can cripple you so ridiculously, it’s just such a perfect way to get you focusing on things that will distract you from your purpose and from enjoying the life that God has given us. Satan knows exactly what buttons to push, and enjoys pushing them as much as he can.

What does God say about this nasty little word, he says…. He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. So in other words, the opposite of fear is love, power and a sound mind. If you think about it, can your really love with all your heart when all you can think of is how scared you are? Can you exert power and authority when you are cowering in a corner and being vulnerable because of your fear? Do you have any kind of rational thinking and soundness of mind when you are scared? no no no, to all!

Fear will take you over, it will make you powerless and drive you crazy, and the worst of all is that the more you fear something, the less you are enjoying the joys that God gives us each day, and the more you are bringing that fear on to you.

My biggest fears at the moment are losing my family, and health… And heres the crazy thing, God speaks directly to me when he says through his word.. Who by worrying can add a day to his life.
